Weekend glamping breaks FAQs

What is a glamping weekend?

The word glamping is a mixture of ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping’, which we think sums up the experience perfectly! With facilities and accommodation which you may associate with a hotel or holiday cottage rather than a camping break, our glamping sites combine luxury with nature during your stay. Many people choose to visit a glamping site for a weekend escape, usually Friday to Monday, for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Is glamping good for short breaks?

There are many benefits to a weekend glamping break, especially if you’re a beginner. For one thing, there are fantastic sites available throughout the UK, so you’re bound to find one within easy reach. It’s also often budget-friendly and convenient – forget about packing tents, sleeping bags and other camping equipment, it’s all supplied!

How can you make the most of a weekend break?

To make the most of your glamping weekend, we’d recommend a few things: unplug from technology, whether that’s leaving your email or turning off your phone, so you can really escape from the everyday and enjoy your time. Research, plan and even book tickets ahead of time, so you don’t need to worry when you’re there. Try something new, but be sure to schedule in some time to really sit and catch up with your friends and family, whether it’s around the firepit or with a spa visit. Finally, extend your holiday as best you can by leaving first thing on Friday (or even Thursday night after work!) and staying as long as you can. With all this in mind, a weekend getaway can almost feel like a full week away!
