Kittisford Barton is a peaceful glamping site nestled in the heart of Somerset, just 30 minutes west of Taunton. Surrounded by 260 acres of organic farmland, woodlands, and trails, it offers the perfect escape into nature, while still being easily accessible from junction 26 of the M5.
Each safari tent at Kittisford Barton provides a cosy, secluded retreat, complete with the option to unwind in your own two-person hot tub overlooking the wildflower meadow. Ideal for relaxing under the morning sun or stargazing at night, the site’s tranquil atmosphere, with no electricity, allows for a truly immersive escape—perfect for quality time with loved ones.
Explore the surrounding Blackdown Hills AONB, enjoy country walks, and spot wildlife such as deer and birds. The farm itself is a delight, where you can meet friendly goats or collect fresh eggs from the chickens in the orchard. For those who want to explore further, Kittisford Barton is ideally located for day trips to Somerset and Devon’s coastlines, historic towns, and attractions like the Jurassic Coast and Cheddar Gorge.
Each tent accommodates up to six people, with three bedrooms: one king-size room, one twin room, and one bunk bed room. Travel cots can be added to any bedroom (available for hire).
Optional Extras: Fire Pit/BBQ/Wood Fire pits are included with every booking, ideal for BBQs. Unlimited wood is provided for the duration of your stay. Please note, fires are only permitted in the fire pits. Each tent also has a log burner for heating and cooking.
Check-In and Check-Out Times Check-in is from 4 pm on your arrival day, and check-out is by 10 am on your departure day.
